Named after the smoke-hazed ridgelines visible from our taproom on a summer evening, Smoky Ridge Porter is a full-bodied dark ale built for slow sipping. We use a combination of Chocolate malt, Roasted Barley and a touch of smoked malt to create layers of flavor: dark chocolate and espresso up front, a subtle smokiness in the middle, and a long, warming finish with hints of vanilla and oak. Despite its deep color and rich flavor, this porter finishes surprisingly smooth and dry — never heavy or cloying. Perfect paired with Tennessee BBQ, aged cheddar or a slice of pecan pie.
